Monday Moments with M. G. #32 Antiquities Update and More

Monday Moments #32

Happy Monday, friends, and welcome back to another edition of Monday Moments with M. G. I am so glad to spend a few minutes with you today and share what has been happening behind the scenes in M. G. Lorraine’s book world. This season has been full, fast-moving, and exciting, and every step forward reminds me how grateful I am for the readers, families, educators, librarians, and friends who continue cheering these stories on.

If you are new here, welcome. M. G. Lorraine is the pen name I use for fiction, and it gives us a fresh place to gather as readers and storyteller. In this space, we can set aside the noise of opinions, preferences, lifestyles, and backgrounds and simply meet on common ground through story.

#TeamMGL has been busy with the steady work that turns finished manuscripts into books readers can actually hold, order, share, and enjoy. We have been reviewing author copies, checking final files, making corrections, preparing the kids’ website, and building out the merch store on Shopify. It may not always look glamorous from the outside, but this behind-the-scenes work is what helps each launch feel organized, intentional, and ready for the people who have been waiting so patiently.

The first five kids’ books are live on Lulu and are beginning to appear on additional platforms, including Amazon. Since August is back-to-school month, these books make wonderful gifts for young readers ages 6-11 as they begin a new school year. They are also a great fit for classroom libraries, birthday surprises, homeschool shelves, and family reading time.

On the adult romantic suspense side, Fossils: A Dorchester Sisters Novel is out now, and the second book, Antiquities, is already available on Lulu and is starting to go live on Amazon. As with any new release, the rollout can take a little time, so if you do not see it everywhere immediately, please know it is making its way onto the platforms. Seeing Antiquities begin to appear on Amazon is an exciting milestone, and I am so grateful to watch this next Dorchester Sisters story step into the world.

Meanwhile, Sequins: A Dorchester Sisters Novel, the third book in the series, is my current writing project. This story has been especially meaningful to develop because it continues the heart, depth, mystery, and family legacy woven throughout the Dorchester world. Once Sequins is complete, I will move into the first two books in our tween mystery series with my teen co-authors, a project I am especially excited about because it gives young voices a place at the creative table.

After that, we will begin the next five kids’ chapter books, and I will also start the Dorchester Family Legacy series. There is so much storytelling ahead, and each project carries its own special purpose. Some stories are meant to make children laugh. Some are meant to help them feel brave. Some are meant to invite readers into mystery, history, family secrets, and second chances. I am grateful every day that I get to create these stories, and even more grateful that you are walking this journey with us.

We would also love to hear from you. If there is a city, bookstore, festival, school, library, conference, homeschool group, classroom, or special event where you would love to see us, please let us know. From book updates and website news to future appearances, school visits, reader opportunities, and community events, this season is about connection as much as it is about publishing. We are building more than a book list. We are building a community of readers, families, educators, librarians, and friends who believe in stories that encourage imagination, courage, curiosity, and joy.

Thank you for your support, encouragement, patience, and kindness as these next books continue making their way into the world. We have had a few bumps along this great publishing journey, but every kind word, every share, every purchase, every message, and every bit of encouragement reminds us why this work matters. We truly hope you love the stories that are coming your way, and we cannot wait to keep growing this community with you one Monday Moment at a time.

Don't Forget to buy tickets to Fiction Fest in Dade City, Florida for September 19-20, 2026.

Until Next Time,

Signed M. G.
