National Truffle Day!

Truffles in Raw form

I am an Amazon Associate!

The truffle is interesting it can be in two forms. The first form is this expensive delicacy found traditionally by female pigs and grown under underground. Technically, they’re an edible spore. They are hard to find, come in white and black, and once harvested quickly lose the fabulous flavor and smell.

They are now cultivated worldwide, which makes them more available and hunted by specially trained dogs.

The other fabulous truffle is chocolate. It is traditionally made with chocolate, ganache and coated in cocoa powder, Coco, nuts, or other fabulous creations, then made into a small ball of delicious anticipation.

Which ever truffle you think about when truffles are mentioned those are incredible. But why is there a national truffle day well to honor the chocolate dessert. They were invented in 1895 by Louis Defour while trying to come up with a Christmas treat in 1902 according to a National Today article:  https://nationaltoday.com/national-truffle-day/  He opened the shop in England, making truffles in a variety of ways.

Today you can get them in a huge variation of ways to enjoy. If you are looking for a way to celebrate this glorious chocolate holiday, there are a myriad of different options:

1.        Party of truffles, you can buy them and a variety from:
