Can you believe there’s an amazing day dedicated just to celebrating the world of Winnie the Pooh? What a beautiful way to take us all back to our friends: Pooh, Eeyore, Tigger, Roo, Piglet and Christopher Robin! Just a thought carries us back to the Hundred Acre Woods to search for honey and to adventure with our friends. The best part is that nearly everyone immediately goes there, with a simple mention of Pooh, Piglet, Eeyore, or Christopher Robin because A. A. Milne was such an expert at crafting and creating the characters of the world of Winnie the Pooh.

Thank you to A. A. Milne and these beautiful characters and adventures not only for today, but for the lasting, beautiful core memories he created and shared in all generations that love to read because our first stories were on a search for honey and dearest friends. These adventures drew young children - everywhere - into reading, just so they could be in the wonderful world of Winnie-the-Pooh and his friends. What a rich gift to have left behind as an author for future generations!

As an author, I am in awe of the incredible skill and craft that draws us to return to these old stomping grounds of youth. I strive to create characters and worlds that draw my readers in and engage them in such a way that they are willing to return again and again and that they continue to love every return to the world I create. I strive to create a memory so great that it transcends time, years, and generations, to create a memory so enduring that just a few spoken words take us back to that world, just like the Adventures of Winnie-The-Pooh.

This vast appreciation and awe of essential stories, characters and worlds like Winnie-the-Pooh forces me to also take a closer look at what I craft, the worlds I’m creating, the adventures I’m on and where I take my reader. I strive, jealously, to create a world in which future generations will say "Oh yes, I read that book by M. G. Lorraine" and immediately share fond thoughts of where the story took us and the time we spent together through literature.

M. G. Lorraine shares thoughts on famous work by A. A. Milne. CAPTION: Winnie The Pooh Quote "Even if we're apart. I'll always be with you."

So today, on National Winnie the Pooh Day, grab your treasured copy from the shelf and read a bit of this beautiful tribute to the lovable, silly ole' bear and all of his friends. Take yourself back to the Hundred Acre Wood. Create a new memory with your children and grandchildren. Read your favorite pages to children at the library or in a classroom, or just take a quiet moment to thank A. A. Milne for the gift he left for us and for the generations to come. May we all be grateful to revisit the beautiful Hundred Acre Wood with fond memories. Celebrate with a little honey on your toast and a tad in your tea and cuddle up in the memories of Hundred Acre Woods for your break.

TTFN,

M. G.
