Monday Moments with M. G. #36

Happy Monday, friends, and welcome to another edition of Monday Moments with M. G. This week brings the kind of progress that makes all the behind-the-scenes work worthwhile. Projects that have spent months in development are moving from “almost ready” to officially launched, opening new ways for readers to discover our stories, resources, and community.

First, the kids’ website is officially live! Young readers, families, educators, librarians, and everyone who enjoys our children’s books now have a dedicated online home for activities, news, and future opportunities. It has been a joy to watch this space take shape, and I look forward to expanding it with more books, events, and resources for readers.

Our Shopify store is now live as well, offering readers and supporters another way to connect with M. G. L. books and merchandise. It is a new home for items inspired by the books, the brand, and the community we are building together and another important step toward making everything easier to find, support, and celebrate.

On the writing front, Sequins: A Dorchester Sisters Novel is nearly complete. The third book in the trilogy carries heart, history, family legacy, and plenty of emotion, and I am grateful for the time it has taken to shape the story with care. I know many of you have been waiting for the next chapter of the Dorchester Sisters, and I am thrilled to be so close to the finish line.

When Sequins is finished, the creative calendar will keep moving. Next up are the first two books in our tween mystery series, written with my teen co-authors. This project is especially meaningful because it gives young voices a place at the storytelling table. After that, we will turn our attention to five new children’s chapter books and begin work on the Dorchester Family Legacy series. There is plenty ahead, and every project brings a purpose and personality of its own.

In case you missed the news, all five children’s books are now available through Lulu a milestone worth celebrating. We are also watching for them to appear through additional retailers, including Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and other platforms. These stories are wonderful additions to classroom libraries, homeschool shelves, family reading time, birthday surprises, and gift lists for young readers.

Antiquities is beginning to appear online, too, and we are delighted to see it making its way into the world. New releases often need time to populate across platforms, retailers, and listing pages, so thank you for your patience as the rollout continues. Every launch carries its own mix of anticipation, celebration, and gratitude, and this one is no exception.

Podcasts are coming soon! We are preparing to launch new podcast conversations that will bring listeners even closer to the stories, creative process, and people behind the books. Future episodes will offer another way to share updates, explore the ideas that inspire our work, and connect with readers and fellow storytellers. More details including launch information and where to listen will be shared soon.
