It was the afternoon before Greg and Jennifer‘s wedding, Kileah, Sabrina and Jennifer slipped out just to grab a few minutes. It had been a chaotic couple of days, but tomorrow it would be over… Gregorio Uberti and Jennifer Dorchester would be husband and wife.
His parents had arrived a few hours ago and the girls just wanted a few minutes together. As each grabbed their handbag and headed to the front door of Jennifer‘s house, they had intended just to slip out for iced coffee and time to just chat, but they had barely gotten outside in the bright Denver sunshine when giggles started.
” Oh Kileah, what are you laughing about?" Her sisters said looking at her.
"Oh, just us, we are still each stuck in our own sunglasses phase."
"What is so funny about that? Did you think it was going to change," the laughing and giggling continued as I walked a couple of blocks to the little bistro coffee shop, Jennifer‘s favorite.
“Kileah, how do you manage to wear those huge sunglasses every day?" Sabrina asked
"Oh these, I have several pair of all the same. The lens color is perfect for the site and it keeps the dust and dirt out of my eyes. How do those sleek little lenses of yours block out the sun?" she said, teasing her sister Jennifer. Jennifer took off her favorite Fendi sunglasses and push them up onto her mahogany pixies haircut with little curls splattering all around them. "Well, at least we both wear something new Sabrina. When are you going to join us in this decade of fashion at least."
"Probably never sis I am much more comfortable in the 40s and 50s or 60s fashion and that includes my sunglasses. Don’t you love them? Their fashionable you know they’re the top of the line for 1956," She said it with a smile.
As each picked up their iced coffee from the service window, Sabrina looked at her fabulous sisters, "I am so lucky to have you for my sisters did you know it’s national sunglasses day" and then lifting her heart ice creation she said cheers to us and great sunglasses no matter the style or decade.
And with that the giggling began, and the iced coffee drinking continued.
